At Tbilisi Medical Academy (TMA), diversity, inclusion, and equality are virtues reflected in both our mission and institutional culture. Our student-centered environment is built on an educational approach with an emphasis on that places students' needs, interests, and abilities, while actively encouraging their engagement and participation. This commitment is reinforced through student representation in key academic governance structures, including the Curriculum Committee and the Advisory Board.
"Six Days of a Country Doctor" is one of TMA's most ambitious transdisciplinary initiatives. It raises awareness of physicians working in Georgia's rural highland regions and helps future doctors understand medical professionalism through art, observation and storytelling.
Over three seasons, the project brought together four Georgian regions, seventeen students and countless stories from rural medical practice โ from Adjara and Guria to Lechkhumi and Svaneti.
Although the expeditions concluded, cooperation continues through English-language courses for participating doctors, community health campaigns and plans for immersive clinical placements in underserved regions.
The project aligns with TMA's mission and institutional social responsibility.
