The framework is based on Ronald Harden’s model of Medical Teacher’s roles and Yvonne Steinert’s concept of faculty development. It focuses on the development of staff professional identity (Professional Identity Formation) and involves the professionalization of academic staff in the following key roles: Teacher, Educator, Scholar, Researcher, and Leader.
