In May, 2020 Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy Associated Professor, Gela Beselia, participated in international online conference "Dementia, Alzheimer's and Neurological Disorders" by an oral presentation "Modulation of spatial memory and neurotransmitter markers in the prefrontal cortex by cholinergic and GABAergic neurons of the nucleus basalis magnocellularis". This was a presentation of the portion of results of the scientific-research project which has been performed under the scientific leadership of Dr. Beselia and by participation of TMA students. The project has been conducted in the frames of Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy Funding Program for Development and Support of Scientific Research Projects and in collaboration with the Ivane Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine.
