On July 6-7, TMA hosted a delegation from Vilnius University. The purpose of the working visit was to exchange experience between universities, as well as elaborate plans for successive cooperation. Within frames of the visit, delegates took a tour around TMA, where they got introduced to the main teaching resources, adopted at TMA within teaching processes.
Alongside other areas of consideration, throughout the visit were addressed study programs and curricula. Members of the TMA team provided their insight and shared experience with visiting colleagues regarding Objectively Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE).
Tbilisi Medical Academy has a long history of cooperation with Vilnius University within frames of both bilateral partnerships and EU-funded Erasmus+ opportunities. Each year, TMA students are provided with international mobility opportunities under the Bilateral Cooperation Agreement, which in its turn enables them to spend one semester or entire academic year at Vilnius University. In addition, Vilnius University is a strategic European partner of TMA in the EU-funded capacity building project SAFEMED+. In its turn, the project aims to improve the quality of undergraduate medical education, as well as modernization and successive implementation of basic clinical skills throughout the curriculum.
