Tbilisi Medical Academy hosted an event - "International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women".
An expert from „UN Women“, Sophio Tabagua, shared information about gender-based violence, its negative impact, and consequences. Students also got acquainted with the documentary photo project, seen through the lenses of the American photographer Stephanie Sinclair, which showcased the diverse stories of gender-based violence affecting women and girls. The photo project was presented by the former Publisher of National Geographic Georgia Tata Kvatchadze.
TMA expresses solidarity with the global campaign against gender-based violence, which starts on November 25th as an International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and lasts for 16 days.
