TMA hosted a neuroscience conference. The event was organized by Dandy TMA Neurosurgery Club. The goal of the conference was to highlight the diversity of this field and provide the audience with information on such interesting topics as neurology, psychiatry, behavioral science, psychology, and neurosurgery.
Within the frame of the conference, the presentations were made by: clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, associate professor Soso Dolidze, neurologist Nino Gzirishvili, TMA associate professor Gela Beselia, a researcher at the laboratory of behavior and cognitive functions at Ivane Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine Barbare Nozadze, neurosurgeon Lika Khorbaladze and neurosurgery resident Aleksandre Najarov.
The last part of the event was devoted to a panel discussion on the topic: "Psychiatric patient management on various topics", in which psychiatrist Diana Verdzadze, neurologist Guchi Kobaidze and psychologist Ani Rainauli participated.
Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society in the USA was founded in 2011 and its goal is to create a common forum for doctors and students interested in neurosurgery and neuroscience. Student clubs are an important part of the dandy society, which has already been established in 60 countries, and Georgia joined a number of these countries two years ago.
