Ana Jibladze, a resident of obstetrics and gynecology of the Tbilisi Medical Academy, presented a report at the 19th World Congress of Human Reproduction. The scientific paper "Evaluation of gender and psychosexual characteristics in patients with various forms of androgen resistance syndrome" was co-authored and supervised by Professor Genaro Kristesiashvili. The paper presents androgen resistance syndrome (testicular feminization), which is a rare disease and affects one in every 20000 men (1:20000).
The speaker discussed more than 40 cases and received great interest and approval from the audience.
In addition, Ana Jibladze personally received the highest assessment from the president of the International Academy of Human Reproduction, Professor Andrea Jenazani.
This year the World Congress was hosted by Venice (Italy) and 132 participants were represented from Georgia.
