In order to raise awareness about hypertension TMA hosted a free of charge screening. The screening was provided by the professor of TMA, cardiologist Ana Rekhviashvili, TMA alumni, professor, doctor cardiologist Zviad Kereselidze and TMA alumni cardiologist, guest lecturer of TMA Imeda Maisuradze.
TMA students assisted the professors. They shared information with the population about hypertension, its prevention, and treatment methods.
Citizens who came to the screening had the opportunity to measure their blood pressure and take a cardiogram, and receive a consultation on hypertension, get answers to all related questions of their interest.
In total 50 citizens aged 18 to 80 took part in hypertension screening.
