The University of Westminster (London) hosted the annual conference “Georgian Studies Day". This year's conference was dedicated to Georgian professional women working in various fields. Within the framework of the event, one selected representative of the field spoke about his/her profession. Lali Mekokishvili, Dean of the School of Medicine of Tbilisi Medical Academy, was invited to the event to talk about medicine. She attended the conference remotely and talked about outstanding Georgian female doctors, and medical education, discussed the interesting changes in higher medical education on the example of TMA, and talked about post-graduate education and her professional path.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the British-Georgian society, academic staff of the University of Westminster, students, representatives of the Georgian diaspora, and other persons interested in Georgia.
"Georgian Science Day" has been regularly hosted by the University of Westminster for 36 years and its purpose is to promote Georgian science and culture in Great Britain.
The event was organized and supported by the University of Westminster, the Embassy of Georgia in Great Britain, and the British-Georgian community.
