At the initiative of international students, an introductory meeting was held with the representatives of the Georgian International Medical Students Society (GIMSOC). The event was led by the TMA student and the local head of GIMSOC Princy James.
Princy informed the interested students about the organization and also talked about the benefits that the members of the organization have. In addition, the students present at the meeting shared information about the implemented projects: Medcon 2023, StrIAT'24, MediConnect, and others.
The goal of the Medical Student Society is to unite and empower medical students and professionals around innovative education and public welfare.
"Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we encourage medical students and medical professionals in Georgia to collaborate and work on projects and activities," said Princy James.
GIMSOC is a kind of platform for international students, where various student-initiated topics, events, and seminars are united. Today, GIMSOC unites more than 4000-member international students.
