The XIV National Congress of Asthma and Clinical Immunology was held under the organization of the Georgian Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (GAACI) and with the support of Tbilisi Medical Academy (TMA).
Professor Lali Mekokishvili, the dean of school of medicine at TMA,, who is also a member of the Executive and Scientific Council of GAACI, chaired two dermatology sessions. Aside from that, reports on topical issues of dermatovenereology were presented by Irma Buchukuri, Associate Professor of TMA, and Kakha Bregvadze, Co-head of One-step Educational Programmes.
Within the framework of the three-day congress, a student session was also held at Tbilisi State Medical University, where TMA’s students presented original research: Nino Chkhutishvili, Lela Koriauli, Teona Shavadze, and Devika Das Thiruthara Haridas.
The congress was attended by more than 500 delegates from 15 countries worldwide. Reports were presented by the President of the World Allergy Organization, the Vice President of the American College of Allergy, and other international scientists.
