Tbilisi Medical Academy (TMA) and the Georgian Photodermatology and Skin Cancer Association jointly organized the International School of Dermato-Oncology and Dermatoscopy. The school-conference was led by guest lecturer from Ukraine and international expert in dermato-oncology, Dr. Bohdan Lytvynenko along with Dr. Lali Mekokishvili, Dean of the School of medicine - TMA.
The international school was held as part of the European Campaign for Skin Cancer Prevention and was attended by dermatologists from both Tbilisi and the regions, as well as representatives of various higher education institutions, including TMA resident doctors.
The conference received European accreditation and participants were awarded 7 European CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits for postgraduate education.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, and the final segment included a quiz in which three winners were selected.
Additionally, in June, as part of the Euromelanoma campaign, free skin screenings were held in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi.
