Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy joined the Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, which is traditionally celebrated in the last week of January.
Within the frames of the Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, the National Screening Center and TMA, organized an online meeting, where the director of the screening center - Eter Kighuradze and the head of the gynecological service, colposcopist, Tamar Alibegashvili, informed TMA students about important clinical signs of cervical cancer and public awareness.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues such as, the cervical cancer screening program in Georgia, preventive measures, activities of the screening center, current statistics, and plans.
