Tbilisi Medical Academy announces admission to the doctoral programmes “Medical Sciences” and “Public Health” to conduct the following doctoral research projects:
- Effects of deep brain stimulation of hippocampal cortical and subcortical inputs with different electrical parameters on memory function in rats with cognitive impairment(Scientific Supervisor: Gela Beselia; Doctoral Programme: Medical Sciences)
- Reflective portfolio as a tool for learning and assessment of professionalism in undergraduate medical education(Scientific Supervisor: Maia Zarnadze; Doctoral Programme: Medical Sciences)
- Patient safety through integration of digital health in medical curricula(Scientific Supervisor: Ekaterine Kldiashvili; Doctoral Programme: Medical Sciences)
- Advancing patient safety through implementation of multidisciplinary clinical team models(Scientific Supervisor: Ekaterine Kldiashvili; Doctoral Programme: Medical Sciences)
- Assessment of behavioral and clinical characteristics of patients enrolled in the Hepatitis B treatment program(Scientific Supervisor: Giorgi Kamkamidze; Doctoral Programme: Public Health)
Instruction language of doctoral programmes is English.
Admission Procedure
The admission process for the doctoral programmes consists of three stages:
- Submission of the required application documents;
- Evaluation of the applicant’s submitted documentation by the Commission;
- Interview with the Commission.
Required Documents – Doctoral Programme “Medical Sciences”
Applicants must submit:
- A copy of a Master’s (or equivalent) degree - qualification as a Medical Doctor (MD diploma). The diploma issued in a foreign country must be recognized by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
- Copy of ID card;
- 2 photographs;
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English;
- Valid certificate confirming knowledge of English at B2 level (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, UNIcert) or a diploma of a Master’s (or equivalent) degree completed in English;
- Documentation confirming a publication/research output and/or participation in research projects/events, and/or at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the field of Medical Sciences;
- Completed application form in English.
Required Documents – Doctoral Programme “Public Health”
Applicants must submit:
- A copy of a Master’s (or equivalent) degree with a qualification of biology/life sciences, veterinary, medicine, dental medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, or occupational safety. The diploma issued in a foreign country must be recognized by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
- Copy of ID card;
- 2 photographs;
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English;
- Valid certificate confirming knowledge of English at B2 level (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English, UNIcert) or a diploma of a Master’s (or equivalent) degree completed in English;
- Documentation confirming a publication/research output and/or participation in research projects/events, and/or at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the field of Public Health;
- Completed the application form in English.
