Tbilisi Medical Academy once again welcomed applicants interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Rector Irene Shotadze, together with the TMA students hosted the high school graduates and shared insights of the academic and student life. During the meeting, the Rector introduced applicants to TMA’s educational programs, international exchange opportunities, modern infrastructure, and diverse learning resources. She also highlighted the wide range of student services and opportunities that support students throughout their academic journey.

One of the key highlights of 2026 is Tbilisi Medical Academy’s new financial support model. Students enrolled in the English-language medical program will have their first academic year fully funded. From the following year, funding will be based on academic performance: students who achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher at the end of the semester will retain 100% tuition funding for the next semester, while those with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.5 will receive 50% tuition funding.

The event went beyond presentations, offering applicants a hands-on experience. They actively participated in practical activities and gained a closer understanding of the daily realities of the medical profession. At the Clinical Skills Center, in a safe and supportive environment, participants practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), blood sampling, and surgical suturing. Throughout the process, they were guided by TMA Clinical Center staff and students.
