Description

โ€‹The Multicultural Club brings together Georgian and international students to foster an inclusive, welcoming community and promote intercultural dialogue. The club encourages students to explore and celebrate diverse cultures, traditions, languages, music, art, and cuisine while building mutual respect, meaningful connections, and lasting friendships. Members participate in cultural workshops, interactive activities, and social events that promote cultural exchange and collaboration. One of the club's long-term goals is to establish an annual Multicultural Festival showcasing cultural performances, traditional attire, music, dance, art, and cuisine. Through planning and organizing events, members also develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills while contributing to a vibrant university community. The Pediatric Pulse

Description

The Pediatrics Club brings together students interested in child health through education, clinical skill development, research, and community engagement. The club promotes evidence-based, child-centred care while fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and advocacy for children's health. Members participate in hands-on workshops on pediatric history-taking, communication, growth and nutritional assessment, and developmental milestone evaluation. Regular activities include monthly Clinical Case Discussion Nights and a Pediatric Journal Club, providing opportunities to strengthen clinical reasoning, stay up to date with current research, and prepare for future careers in pediatric healthcare. Genesis - The Human Reproductive Health Society - is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting awareness, education, and open discussion about reproductive health. Guided by the motto โ€œHuman Reproductive Health Education for All,โ€ the club provides a platform for students to explore topics in reproductive medicine, preventive healthcare, and overall well-being. Roots & Remedies is a student-led club focused on exploring natural medicine, with a special emphasis on plant-based healing. Members examine both the benefits and limitations of natural remedies in comparison to Western medicine, promoting a balanced and evidence-based perspective. Through discussions, research, and interactive activities, the club explores how bioactive compounds in plants contribute to health and disease prevention. MedAware is a student-led medical awareness club that highlights a new health topic each month. Members engage in topic-based research and evidence review, presenting their findings through posters, presentations, workshops, and discussions. MedAware aims to strengthen research literacy, communication skills, and social responsibility while raising awareness on important public health issues.

Description

The TMA Book Club is a student community dedicated to fostering a love of reading outside the academic setting. Each month, members vote on a book that is accessible to everyone through social media or group chat. The club hosts weekly or biweekly meetups on campus, providing a relaxed and enjoyable space to discuss the book, share insights, and engage in thoughtful conversation.

At the end of each book, a final meeting allows members to give personal reviews and decide together what to read next. Our goal is to finish one book per month, exploring novels, fiction, and classical literatureโ€”offering a refreshing break from medical texts.

First Aid Club

First Aid Club

Description

The club aims to raise awareness of emergency medical issues among the local community. The club will collaborate with doctors to plan public workshops and lectures.

The following topics will be discussed during the sessions:

Assessment of vital signs - assessment of temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate. Heimlich maneuver in children. Visual assessment - jaundice, pallor; episodes of loss of consciousness.

Intoxication - food, alcohol, Co poisoning, drug poisoning, etc.

Trauma management - how to behave in traffic accidents, bleeding management, tourniquet application techniques, bedrest techniques, immobilization.

The Psyche Society club is founded on the belief that knowledge is key to fostering empathy and driving change. We are committed to deconstructing the stigma of mental disorders through focused, in-depth learning about the foundations and frontiers of psychology.
Our Mission:
  • Educate: Through our meetings, we will explore the social, cultural, and historical background of mental health, alongside current and cutting-edge research and treatments for psychiatric disorders.

Debate Club

Description

The Debate Club was created to foster logical reasoning, structured argumentation, and confident self-expression among students. The club aims to cultivate the skills of forming oneโ€™s own opinions, active listening, and asking meaningful questions. Through various projects and sessions, members will be introduced to different debate formats, strengthen both individual and teamwork abilities, and engage with important topics that contribute to their development as informed citizens and future professionals.

Our activities include:

  1. A debate championship in the British Parliamentary format, focusing on topics in healthcare, ethics, and bioethics.

  2. Mini-debates for club members in the Karl Popper and Lincolnโ€“Douglas formats.

  3. Case-based simulation debates.

  4. Workshops aimed at improving public speaking skills.

  5. Collaboration with other universities to co-host debate championships.

โ€‹The Endocrinology Club is all about understanding how our hormones and body chemistry work in everyday life. We look at how different hormones control things like energy, mood, sleep, stress, appetite, and metabolism, and we break down the molecular processes behind them in simple, clear explanations. We talk about common hormonal imbalances like insulin resistance, thyroid issues, cortisol problems, or reproductive hormone changes and explain whatโ€™s happening in the body on a biochemical level. We also explore safe, science-based โ€œbiohacks,โ€ such as how nutrition, sleep, exercise, and lifestyle choices can help support healthier hormone function. The goal is to deliver information that will be useful for everyone.

Life Link is a student-led academic club dedicated to creating an online medical platform that provides short, research-based instructional videos, tutorials, and blog posts on key medical topics. The club serves both students and the wider public, fostering an environment where members can learn, teach, and collaborate.
Through activities such as content planning, script writing, video production, translation, and blog creation, members contribute to producing clear and reliable medical information. All content undergoes careful review by student editors and faculty advisors before publication.

Description

The "Alzheimer's Club" was founded on the initiative of the students at TMA. The main goal of the club is to raise awareness in society and break the stigmas that exist around the said disease. It consists of both theoretical and scientific research directions and in the future aims to promote research work in the direction of Alzheimer's in Georgia. With the support of the Alzheimer's Association of Georgia, active students will be allowed to get research experience abroad.

The club will hold a meeting several times a month to discuss the new challenges/advances that are emerging around Alzheimer's. Also, ways of implementing existing projects will be planned.

The club was founded with the support of TMA and the Alzheimer's Association of Georgia.

Description

"Frozen Synapses" is a psychosocial society that unites such student interests as cinema, music, opera, theater, philosophy, and psychology. Although the main line of the society is the promotion of artistic writing, any member of the club has the opportunity to speak and share his/her ideas in various fields. Because it is important to unwind from the busy academic life. The society of "Frozen Synapses" allows this as much as possible.

The club is actively planning film screenings, trips to museums, and various cultural events. Also, once a month the so-called salon discussion with guest speakers from the arts.

The club was formed in March 2024 and unites 43 Georgian and international students.

Dandy TMA is a branch of Dandy, Georgia, proudly operating under the esteemed Walter E. Dandy Neurosurgical Society and affiliated with the Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy.

Founded in 2021, Dandy TMA serves as a dynamic platform for students to explore the fields of neurosurgery and neurology through education, research, and community engagement. The club aims to promote academic growth and professional development by organizing conferences, workshops, and interactive sessions, as well as by fostering discussion on recent advances in neurosurgery and neuroscience.

Membership in Dandy TMA is open to all TMA students who express an interest in the neurosciences. Regular meetings are held to discuss new topics, exchange ideas, and encourage collaboration among aspiring medical professionals.

Led by Senator Milana Ostrovski, Dandy TMA remains committed to fostering an environment of learning, innovation, community, and academic engagement among motivated students passionate about the brain sciences and their future in medicine.
