How we support you

Student Well-being

Counselling, Health and Wellness

At Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy, student well-being is an essential part of the educational experience. As a student-oriented institution, TMA is committed to identifying students' needs and responding to them through timely, supportive, and student-centered services that promote academic success, mental health, and personal development.

This is made possible through the Institutional Culture Development Department, offering Student Counselling Services designed to support students in both their academic and personal journeys. By fostering well-being, resilience, and self-development, TMA aims to help students thrive both personally and professionally throughout their academic journey.

For First-Year Students

From the very first week, first-year students at TMA are warmly welcomed by academy representatives and introduced to every aspect of university life. Through dedicated orientation activities, students become familiar with the academic programs, campus infrastructure, learning resources, student services, and the vibrant student community.

This early engagement ensures a smooth transition into university life, helping students feel confident, supported, and connected. Throughout this process, TMA provides continuous guidance and access to key services, empowering students to successfully navigate their academic journey and make the most of their experience from day one.

Career Support

At Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy, we support students in planning their future careers and achieving their professional goals. Through the Student Consultancy Service, students receive career guidance, professional development support, and opportunities to connect with potential employers in the healthcare and research fields.

TMA helps students explore career paths, develop research interests, and build valuable professional networks through collaboration with clinics, healthcare organizations, research institutions, and the TMA Alumni Club. Our goal is to help every student feel confident, supported, and prepared for their future profession.

Safety and Security

At TMA, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for a diverse student community. The academy brings together over 1,100 students, including more than 700 international students from around 50 countries alongside Georgian peers.

This multicultural setting is supported by a strong institutional focus on student well-being, ensuring that everyone feels respected, protected, and fully integrated into university life. Our commitment to safety is grounded in the principles of equality, respect for diversity, and non-discrimination, with accessible infrastructure and continuous support services that help students focus on their academic and professional development with confidence.
