Dean’s Message

Welcome,
And congratulations! You are now the students of Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy.
You are starting new and extremely interesting phase of your life here in TMA and your choice means that alongside with MD profession you chose the values that we have been sharing with our students and society for the last 27 years.
Our values are described in our mission, which reflects the history of TMA as well as the future of the Academy:
TMA, as a student-oriented higher education institution, primarily seeks to teach and develop national and international healthcare professionals in an innovative manner by using evidence-based knowledge, whilst practically benefiting the community in Georgia through research-based outreach activities.
Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy has a lot to offer in terms of student-oriented environment: renovated and well-equipped anatomy and histology classrooms, rooms for virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR), well equipped lab and simulation clinic. You can have access to the latest scientific databases and resources via our library. Recreation zone, including theatre and gym will be at your service shortly.
At the same time, despite the pace and speed of our development, high quality of education is still our top priority. We still admit a limited number of students and it allows us to satisfy all your needs in terms of learning, scientific, research activities.
We are always there for you to ensure active, self- and society-oriented life of our students. We support you in development of critical thinking, innovative, but at the same time, caring and evidence based professional skills which are responsive to the 21st century challenges. We learn from our students as much as we teach them and this is the way we grow and develop together. Here we mean not only the medical doctor’s profession but also a human being. Person, that is a descent citizen of the country and it is reflected in his/her everyday life, work and caring for others.
„We learn to serve and we live to love“ – this slogan should become the incentive that will drive you to your big goal.

Medicine starts here!

Regards,
Nino Kekenadze
