Grant Programme “Scientific Event”
Aim
The aim of the Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy’s grant programme “Scientific Event” is to facilitate staff (academic and invited) and students in the process of scientific events organization and performance.

Requirements
Scientific event can be conference, seasonal school, training, debate, master-class or combined event, which will be held at the Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy.
Proposal can be submitted individually or on behalf of the scientific team.
In case of student application, a mentor is required.
In case of seasonal school 18 hours should be determined for teaching activity.

Administration
To apply for Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy’s grant programme “Scientific Event” the documents defined by the 3.6 task of article 3 of grant programme should be submitted by applicant through email (research @tma.edu.ge) by December 20, 2020.

Grant Programme “Facilitation of Scientific-Research Projects of Young Scientists and Students”

Aim
The aim of the Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy’s grant programme “Facilitation of Scientific-Research Projects of Young Scientists and Students” is:

  • Facilitation of scientific-research activities integration with teaching process;
  • Facilitation of young scientists and students scientific-research activities in the field of biomedicine, biotechnology, medical and healthcare sciences, medical education and related scientific fields.

 

Requirements

  • The scientific-research projects of young scientists and students will be funded in the frames of Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy’s grant programme “Facilitation of Scientific-Research Projects of Young Scientists and Students”.
  • Young scientist - should be staff (academic/invited) member of Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy.
  • Student - should be a student of Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy with active status. 
  • Young scientist/student should be supervised by mentor.
  • The duration of young scientist’s scientific-research project can be 6-12 months.
  • The duration of student’s scientific-research project can be 6 months.

Administration
To apply for Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy’s grant programme “Facilitation of Scientific-Research Projects of Young Scientists and Students” the documents defined by the 4.12 task of article 4 of grant programme should be submitted by applicant through email (research@tma.edu.ge) by February 24, 2020.

Grant programme “Scientific Publication”

Aim
To facilitate the publication of scientific articles by TMA staff (academic and invited) in international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of biomedicine, biotechnology, medicine and health sciences and their related fields.

Requirements

  1. The first and corresponding author of the scientific article should be TMA staff.
  2. In case of double affiliation of the first and corresponding author at first position should be indicated affiliation with TMA.
  3. A scientific article may have 6 (six) authors maximum.
  4. The grant programme covers only the costs of publishing of an article in an international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science and ERIG PLUS databases.

Administration

  1. To apply for the grant programme the applicant must submit the following by December 20, 2020:
  2. Scientific article;
  3. Information of a scientific journal in which it is planned to publish a scientific article;
  4. Information of article processing charges.
  5. The application will be considered and the results will be announced to the applicant within 5 working days of the submission.

Scientific Research Department Grant Opportunities

In order to promote international standard activities in scientific research and encourage student interaction in scientific research Department of Scientific Research and Development announces annual grant opportunities for young scientists and experienced researchers.  
The funding opportunities will promote popularization of science among youth and their integration in international scientific environment; promote academic reputation of TMA and increasing scientific potential of the country.
Aims and Goals:

  • To create and expand scientific research facilities and bases at TMA;
  • Promote and encourage scientific activities among students and young scientists through active interaction of academic staff;
  • Improve the quality of scientific research;
  • Increase level of integration in international scientific society;
  • To reveal and encourage young and promising scientists.

In the frames of competition, project proposals, submitted at the Scientific Research Department will be assessed based on their scientific efficiency and value and supported based on the need analyses.
The research support is intended for studies, conducted in basic and clinical medical subjects, as well as health sciences.
Within grant competition, the proposals will be considered in a non-stop mode.
