Tbilisi Medical Academy Grant Programme “Facilitation of Scientific-Research Activities”
The aim of the Tbilisi Medical Academy (hereinafter TMA) grant programme “Facilitation of Scientific-Research Activities” is to maintain and further develop scientific-research activities of TMA’s staff, young researchers and students; to facilitate publication of their scientific articles and organization of their initiated scientific events in the field of biomedicine, biotechnology, medical and healthcare sciences and related research fields.
Facilitation of TMA’s staff scientific-research projects
- The duration of the scientific-research project can be 6, 9 or 12 months.
- At least 3 students, selected on the background of the competitions, should be enrolled in the project realization.
- Scientific-research project should be leaded by the Principal Investigator, TMA academic staff member with PhD pr an equivalent academic degree.
- Application package should include the documents defined by 4.13 task of article 4 of the grant programme and should be submitted in Georgian and in English by Principal Investigator through email [email protected]. The project proposal should be prepared according to the template defined by the Annex 1 of the grant programme g>regulatory document.
- The defined deadlines are: April 19, 2021; July 26, 2021; and October 25, 2021.
Facilitation of young researchers and students scientific-research projects
- The duration of young researcher’s scientific-research project can be 6, 9 or 12 months.
- The duration of student’s scientific-research project can be 3 or 6 months.
- Young researcher should be staff (academic or invited) member of the TMA.
- Student should be a student of the TMA with active status.
- Young researcher/student should be supervised by the mentor.
- At least 1 student, selected on the background of the competitions, should be enrolled in young researcher’s project realization.
- Application package should include the documents defined by 5.14 task of article 5 of the grant programme and should be submitted in Georgian and in English by applicant through email [email protected]. The project proposal should be prepared according to the template defined by the Annex 3 of the grant programme regulatory document.
- The defined deadlines are: April 19, 2021; July 26, 2021; and October 25, 2021.
Facilitation of TMA staff, young researchers and students scientific articles publication in international peer review and indexed scientific journals
- First and corresponding author should be TMA staff member, young researcher and/or student.
- In case of double affiliation of the first and corresponding author the affiliation with the TMA should be indicated at first position.
- Scientific article may have 8 (eight) authors maximum.
- The only costs of publication of the scientific article in international peer-reviewed scientific journals indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, ERIH PLUS databases are envisaged.
- Application package should include the documents defined by 6.10 task of article 6 of the grant programme and should be submitted through email [email protected].
- The defined deadline is December 20, 2021.
Facilitation of the scientific events initiated by the TMA staff, young researchers and students
- Scientific event can be conference, seasonal school, training, debate, master-class or combined event, which will be held at the TMA.
- Application can be submitted individually or on behalf of the research team.
- In case of student application, a mentor is required.
- In case of seasonal school 18 hours should be determined for teaching activity.
- Application package should include the documents defined by 7.6 task of article 7 of the grant programme and should be submitted in Georgian and in English by applicant through email [email protected]. Application should be prepared according to the template defined by the Annex 5 of the grant programme regulatory document.
- The defined deadline is December 20, 2021.
