21.12.2024 Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy (Georgia) will host the conference – Achieve and sustain high standards of patient safety with a continuous quality improvement approach

The Aim :
to fill the gap in postgraduate education on patient safety on the base of the international teaching material for healthcare professionals (WHO, IHI, PSNet, ISQua).
Along with the introduction of the theoretical material, event will explore current patient safety statistics and delve into the fundamental concepts surrounding patient safety, including definitions of patient harm, medical errors, and adverse events. Experts of the field will focused on the different topics regarding patient safety.
Participants will engage in case studies related to unsafe event management, fostering collaborative learning and sharing best practices.
The event will include networking opportunities, international speakers and culminating in the presentation of the Georgian Health Quality Forum website.
Conference programme includes interactive Q&A sessions to wrap up the day’s discussions.
Expected learning outcomes:
After the conference professional is able to:
- Identify the unsafe event in everyday clinical practice;
- Classify and categorize the identified unsafe event;
- Work and act on the base of IPSG requirements;
- Perform RCA of unsafe event and make optimal solution based on correct analysis;
- Assess safety risks using IHI Global Trigger Tool;
- Interpret and follow Just culture, make personal contribution in building organization wide safety framework.
