Briefly about me:
I am Naveen Aravindakshan, currently in the 8th semester of the MD program. From a very young age, I’ve naturally found myself in leadership roles. Since high school, I have engaged in various voluntary activities, ranging from gardening to teaching younger students basic first aid.
I have always found leadership both easy and enjoyable. People have often told me that they feel comfortable with me, that I am approachable and understanding. I hope to use these qualities to bridge the gap between students' needs and the academy's values, so we can foster a more welcoming and high-quality experience at TMA.
Earlier in my life, I had the opportunity to gain work experience in several institutions in Ireland. These experiences, guided by insightful mentors, taught me how to manage teams effectively. In some instances, I was entrusted with leading entire teams, which greatly contributed to my growth.
At TMA, I’ve tried to volunteer as much as possible—whether it’s participating in blood donation drives or encouraging others to join. Whether in small group projects or class teams, I’ve often found myself in leadership positions. My friends and colleagues have told me that they feel heard, supported, and that their experience improves when I am involved—something I take pride in.
A little extra about me: my favorite places to volunteer are charitable organizations. I’ve found these places to be underappreciated, yet incredibly educational. I've learned a lot from my mentors in these environments, and I’ve found genuine joy in contributing through my volunteer roles.
Action Plan:
- Communication, Understanding, and Trust
My main motivation for pursuing this position is to promote communication, understanding, and trust between students and the academy. I want to take on the responsibility of helping to create an environment that supports both academic and personal growth. With the help of my colleagues and by taking into account their input and needs, I aim to foster the best possible learning environment. I believe that teamwork, cooperation, and trust are the foundation of a thriving academic community and can yield meaningful, long-term benefits. - Supporting International Students' Acclimation
Helping international students adapt to their new environment is one of my top priorities. It can be daunting to arrive in a new country alone, and I believe that supporting their transition is essential for building a stronger university community. Encouraging interactions between students from different semesters and backgrounds can help everyone feel more at home. - Uniting Semesters and Cultures in the Academy
My vision goes beyond organizing events. I want to help strengthen student involvement within the academy by supporting clubs, encouraging participation in conferences, and building a more vibrant student life. I believe that no matter the semester or background, every student should feel empowered to share their ideas and feel part of the larger community. To me, leadership is about giving others the tools and opportunities to grow—and that growth will shape us into more compassionate and effective future doctors.
Medicine is a field rooted in care and cooperation. My goal is to help build a space that nurtures those values for all of us at TMA.

Briefly About Me
I am a dedicated and proactive student with a strong commitment to service, leadership, and communication. Between the ages of 15 and 18, I regularly volunteered at a care home, where I developed empathy, patience, and interpersonal skills while supporting residents in their daily routines. I also volunteered at local charity shops and a public library, experiences that deepened my sense of community and taught me the importance of teamwork and consistency.
My leadership journey began in high school as a prefect, a role I continued in college—supporting peers, representing student concerns, and helping organize events. At university, I currently serve as a group representative, which allows me to contribute toward improving the student experience.
One of the most meaningful leadership experiences I’ve had was mentoring my peers for a school performance, where we presented a carol in British Sign Language to an audience of over 500 people. I also tutored younger students during college, further strengthening my ability to guide others, communicate clearly, and work effectively in a team—skills essential for any future doctor who must collaborate with a wide range of people.
Throughout high school and college, I gained experience in public speaking, from classroom presentations to formal assemblies, which helped me build confidence and communicate with impact. Currently, I’m a member of ICSN, a student organization focused on cardiology, where I host events and continue developing my leadership and organizational skills.
I’m enthusiastic about joining the Student Academy because I want to contribute to a collaborative and caring student environment. It’s a great opportunity for personal growth while representing and supporting my peers and community.
Action Plan
I am running for the position of Student Ambassador because I want to improve communication between staff and students, helping create a more seamless, supportive, and responsive environment. Through my experience as a group representative, and in my previous leadership roles, I’ve seen first-hand how effective communication can positively influence both academic and personal experiences.
Often, important information gets lost or misunderstood, leading to confusion or missed opportunities. I aim to be a clear, reliable bridge between students and staff—ensuring student voices are heard and their concerns addressed promptly. My goal is to foster a more inclusive community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
My background in leadership and volunteering has equipped me with strong interpersonal and listening skills, both of which are essential for this role. I’m committed to actively engaging with peers, understanding their perspectives, and representing their views respectfully to the administration.
I’m also motivated by the chance to contribute meaningfully to the student experience and develop key skills that will serve me in my future career. Serving as a Student Ambassador would allow me to give back to the community that has supported me, while working toward a more connected and collaborative environment.
In short, I hope to be a proactive link that improves communication, encourages mutual understanding, and makes the student journey smoother and more fulfilling. I would also like to promote more interactions within the university, helping students expand their networks and develop greater appreciation for different cultures and backgrounds.

Briefly about me
My name is Dato Maisuradze. I started studying at Akhmeta Public School No. 1 in 2010. After graduating, I was actively involved in various school events and activities, including conferences, educational camps, and class projects. From the 10th grade until the end of school, I was the president of the class self-government.
In 2019, I became a member of the Youth Advisory Council of the Mayor of Akhmeta Municipality, and in 2020–2022, I was the co-chair of the council. This experience helped me get acquainted with public governance and practical management of youth initiatives. After entering the university, unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was no longer able to stay on the council and had to leave it.
During my school years, I underwent a number of trainings and camps related to public administration, non-formal education, and leadership. This experience significantly developed my organizational and communication skills.
Even after entering the university, I have been actively involved in various sports activities and conferences outside the classroom. In 2022, I participated and was an applicant in the conference “The Role of the Sociologist in Healthcare” organized by the Department of Health, Management, Politics and Economics, as well as in the Council of Europe Youth Camp, which focused on youth civic engagement and participation in democratic processes.
My goal is to continuously develop, in parallel with my studies, both theoretical and practical skills necessary to function professionally in a modern medical environment and public healthcare setting.
My Action Plan
I believe that the student voice can become a primary force in the development of the academic environment. My goal is to create a student-oriented and active environment in one year. I will briefly introduce you to the 1-year plan — what will be the main directions, where in the future we will take into account the opinion of the students first.
- Academic Support
Although the academy already has a tutoring program, I consider it necessary to expand and develop it. My goal is:
Creating integration and adaptation strategies for first-year students and students in need;
Involving high academic performance students in conducting additional classroom hours, which all students can attend if they wish;
Organizing regular subject meetings so that students can better understand the learning material and reduce academic stress.
- Student Life and Events
Student years are not just about studying – they are also a period of development and relaxation. I believe that the right balance between academic workload and free activities creates a healthy environment. My goal is to create an extracurricular environment that is consistent with the academic calendar and reduces stress. The plan includes:
Forming sports teams (e.g. football, basketball);
Organizing cultural-cognitive and outing events (excursions, camps, etc.);
Intellectual competitions;
Cultural and integrative evenings.
III. Communication
The main function of the Student Academy is to protect the interests of students. To achieve this goal, I plan to:
Conduct regular meetings with students of all courses in order to understand their needs and expectations;
Establishing enhanced communication between students and academic staff.
In conclusion, I believe that by implementing this plan, our academy will become a stronger and more development-oriented space for students. As president, my main priority will be to consider the needs of each student, transparent communication, and creating a friendly and professional environment.

As part of my summer internship in 2024, I spent three weeks in Erzurum, Turkey. In the same year, I participated in the third season of the photo project "Six Days of Country Doctor".
In October 2025, I will travel to the United States, in New York City, for a one-month clinical rotation. I am actively involved in volunteer activities: since 2019, I have been a volunteer with the Georgian Red Cross Association, and for the last six months, I have been a member of the Georgian Association of Young Obstetricians, Gynecologists and Reproductive Therapists.
My Action Plan
I believe that Ambassador of Student Academy is not just a title — it is a responsibility: to represent, strengthen and unite all voices.
During this one-year period, my goal will be:
To help students implement new initiatives;
Organizing informational meetings on topics such as international grants and internships;
Inviting representatives/speakers from various medical (and not only) fields to conduct trainings and seminars, with the support of the Georgian Red Cross Association and the Academy;
Organizing meetings between senior and first-year students to facilitate the sharing of experiences;
Planning multicultural integration excursions for students.
My goal is to create an environment where students feel supported, actively engage in university life, and receive the necessary information and experience for a professional development-oriented path.

Briefly about me
I have been involved in youth opportunities and non-formal education since school age, which is reflected in the following activities: I was the chairman of the school self-government from the 9th grade and we organized interesting and informative activities for the children of my school.
I would like to highlight one activity, which included the popularization of famous or unknown Georgian figures not only among students, but also among parents and administration. During the work process, I met a lot of interesting people, in which I also involved other students interested in this activity. In this process, I developed various skills, such as teamwork, sociability and organization. I believe that these qualities will be quite useful for me as the leader of the TMA Student Academy.
Also, during my school years, I was involved in the Franklin Academy, which made me more interested in informal education—including: the art of debate, sociology, "What? Where? When?", economics, political ideologies, law, as a result of which my sense of civic responsibility deepened.
I would like to highlight one unique experience that helped me a lot in university activities—it was digital drawing and graphic design courses, with the help of which I demonstrated the necessary skills in creating a genetic poster and participated in a joint program with American universities. I successfully passed the interview and within the framework of the project we implemented an awareness-raising campaign on neurodegenerative diseases.
In my first year as a student, I participated in organizing an intellectual game — "What? Where? When?" — which we held twice.
I also attended the annual MEDIC conference, including speaker presentations and workshops, for which I received a certificate from Vice-rector Ekaterine Kldiashvili.
I was appointed as a tutor in the first semester subjects and, out of love for biochemistry, I gave a lecture with the support of Dr. Mariam Nikolaishvili, which was highly appreciated.
Of particular note is the carnival held on May 20, in which I actively participated and played a decisive role in the final formation of the band.
I believe that, taking into account my experience, skills and creativity, I will engage in any challenge and initiative of student life and will implement it productively together with my classmates.
My action plan
My goal is to revitalize the student life of our university and create a space where each student will have the opportunity to engage in a common cause with their own ideas and interests.
Student life should not be limited only to lectures.
I plan to:
Organize gatherings similar to the Anaklia camp, where young people will develop personally and as a team;
Cooperate with various non-governmental organizations, including disseminating information on Erasmus+ projects;
Initiate joint projects with various universities, which will increase interest and involvement in youth topics;
Create discussions and thematic clubs for intellectual games (“Mafia”, “What? Where? When?”, Debates...);
Activate excursions and outings, which are in great demand but are practically not held;
Develop sports activities — both strengthening existing teams and encouraging new initiatives;
Integrate foreign students in order to create a unified, open and friendly student community.
The main thing is to act together.
We promise that the ideas and wishes of each student will be heard and discussed.
Together, let's create an environment where being a student means participation, development, and activity.

Briefly about me
I am Jaba Khelashvili, a second-year honors student of the English-language Medicine program. I graduated from Tbilisi Public School No. 177 with a gold medal and also received a 100% grant for the Unified National Exams.
When I heard about the Academy while still a school student, I was very interested in this university. In making the final decision, the opportunities that the Academy offered to students were of decisive importance - including student self-government, which allowed me to share my ideas and skills and participate in the development of the university. I think that enrolling here was one of the most important and key decisions of my life. After my studies, I fell in love with this place even more and am ready to do everything to improve it.
Currently, I am actively involved in the ongoing activities and projects of the Academy, including scientific and volunteer activities. I am an active member of the Science Club and a participant in student conferences. I made a presentation at the MEDIC2024 international conference. I also participated in many volunteer activities organized by the Club "Helpers of Community" and plan to be actively involved in the future.
My high academic performance and parallel participation in projects emphasize my diverse skills - time management, punctuality, responsibility, sociability, etc. I am always focused on quality and try to do each job with my heart.
I believe that teamwork, listening to people and understanding their ideas help me create unified and effective visions - this is necessary for making strategic and long-term decisions.
My Action Plan
My involvement as a Student Academy Ambassador will contribute to the well-being of students and the realization of their interests through trainings, workshops and activities.
I plan to:
Regulate and help organize events and meetings of clubs at the university;
Assist in the logistical and financial coordination of the clubs;
Ensure that each student is provided with timely and complete information about the ongoing and planned activities of the Academy;
I think that in addition to studying, it is very important to relax. The carnival and food festival that were recently held are good examples of this. I intend to promote the regular organization of such events — at least once every semester.
In addition:
A summary meeting will be held at the end of each semester with representatives of student quality control and clubs to identify failures and develop improvements;
After each project, a report will be submitted to the PR and relevant departments of the Dean's Office with feedback and prospects for further improvement;
Surveys will be conducted among students — on how we can contribute to the development of the Academy. The selected ideas will be discussed with representatives of quality control and the Dean's Office, and an action plan will be developed, which will be actually implemented;
And finally — as one of the excellent students in my course, I will be able to present the Academy to other universities, revive research and educational projects and show the public that "strength is in unity."
