“WM3R – Waste Management: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” — the final event of the social and cultural grant project was held at the Tbilisi Medical Academy (TMA). This project, led by Avtandil Samadalashvili and Medea Kusiani, is one of the five winning initiatives funded within the framework of the student grant competition.

Over three months, the project combined a variety of activities, including seven informational and educational trainings and one cleaning campaign. The goal of the conference was to share the knowledge and experience gained as a result of the activities carried out, as well as to raise environmental awareness among both participants and guests.

The event was attended by representatives of partner organizations — “My City Kills”, “Tene” and “CENN”. 14 project participants individually presented presentations on environmental topics of interest to them and shared their vision with the audience. Among the speakers were both TMA students and students from different schools.

After listening to the presentations, the jury, which consisted of the project organizers, partner organizations, and TMA lecturers, unanimously identified two winners - one school student and one university student. In addition, the partner organizations also named their favorites and presented them with symbolic gifts.

At the end of the event, all guests and partners positively assessed the project. They emphasized the importance of youth involvement and environmental education. They also expressed their readiness for future cooperation.

At the end of the conference, all project participants were awarded with certificates, and the winners and the favorites of the partner organization were awarded with additional gifts.
